A Giant Sinkhole In Japan



Have you ever found yourself complaining about the fact that it is taking years for your government to fix a simple porthole? Well, you should probably move to Japan.

A giant sinkhole that completely broke an expressway in two has been fixed within two days in Japan. Not only that, the government even apologized to the people for the inconvenience.

 The sinkhole which measured 30 meters wide and 15 meters deep was fixed two days after it emerged and the five-lane street that was destroyed has also been reopened.

The Japanese workers quickly set to work. They grafted around the clock to repair the site by pouring wet cement and sand into the hole. They also fixed electricity, gas and water lines that had been affected

Local officials declared the street safe two days later and opened it up.

The Mayor of Fukuoka where the incident took place said, “We’re very sorry for causing great trouble.”
